The St. Pierres have issued a statement stating all workers were hired legally:
"On April 21, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents detained several of our employees. We do not know the details or reasons at this time. We have cooperated fully with their instructions.
"Our employees were hired following the federal and state employment requirements. We remain supportive of our employees and appreciative of the valuable role they play in our community, performing essential work on our farm.
"We hope this matter is resolved quickly. Any other questions will need to be directed to US Customs and Border agents."

Border Patrol saw three migrant workers walking down the driveway on the premises of the farm. The agents then pursued the migrants through the milking parlor.
"Operating since 1986, Pleasant Valley milks over 3,000 cows across 10,000 acres. The farm is owned and operated by Mark and Amanda St. Pierre, with their son Jamie St. Pierre who is also involved in management and is married to Vermont Olympic runner Elle St. Pierre."
Fantastic. Love to see the law finally being enforced.
And to the liberals who don't like this - can we all at least agree to stop calling Elle St. Pierre a "dairy farmer" every time she runs now? IMO you're not a "dairy farmer" if you're actually a "person whose family owns a farm and hires indentured servants from Central America to do all the actual dairy farming."
Fantastic. Love to see the law finally being enforced.

Not surprising that a Trumper doesn't realize that by his own definition...
There essentially are no large commercial dairy farmers in America.
It's a huge farm. Just because they have workers, migrant or otherwise, doesn't mean Elle and her husband and their family aren't doing some actual dairy farming work. She posts about it sometimes on IG. You really think they're just sitting on their hands? Also.. you don't know their politics. Lot of interesting assumptions you're making....
Wow I thought this was going to be a Nico troll post.
Didn’t actually think it was real but looks legit
As someone who lived in Texas and saw a lot of migrant activity, they come here because they can get jobs. We can deport as many people as possible but more will come until they can’t find work

I’ll still call her a dairy farmer and owning 3000 cows supports that. By your definition, no farmers exist in California.
It looks as if someone employs illegal immigrants, they can be subject to a fine and 6 months in jail. I don’t know how ICE could have known about the St. Pierre immigrants so there must have been a snitch.

It says the farm is near the Canadian border and more importantly it’s the largest dairy farm in Vermont. That makes it a pretty easy target as the majority of large farms have illegal migrant workers.
I gotta say, as a non-MA6A Trump voter, I don’t like targeting migrants working on a farm. They are doing work that nobody wants to do at that wage.
The fines to the company can be pretty significant if they don’t course correct quickly.
I used to follow Elle on IG, and she did make it look like she and her husband did all of the work. Never saw any pictures of “the help”.

Amen. I hope they raid every dairy farm, poultry farm, and fruit field in this country. I will not rest until the price of milk, eggs, turkey, and fruit skyrockets in this country to perfectly and inversely reflect my retirement account. America First!
will be interesting to see where this lands. I've always been under the assumption that most farms of this size have at least a handful of illegals
I think punishment is based on whether the farm/company knew that the workers were illegal or not. Were the farmers unfairly benefitting from paying lower wages, not paying other federal/state taxes, lying on other forms about employment numbers, and etc.
Did ESP grow up on a dairy farm and marry into another family of dairy farmers?
As long as they paid them decent wages and benefits this is a non-story. People want to work. They gave them work. Vermont dairy consumers benefit. The end.

Honest question - how can you be a T voter without supporting the MA6A agenda? They are synonymous with each other. It's literally the motivation for everything he does.

I want to echo that there is no such thing as a trump voter who doesn’t support trumps agenda.
This is a serious story. I want more information to come out. Was this ice seeing people who look “illegal” and harassing them? Or is this a crackdown on the farms corrupt activities?
it is true that Elle makes it look like she and Jamie do all the backbreaking work on the farm. I’m very curious to see where this goes. Because if they’re not paying their workers and taking advantage, that is extremely serious
