Are you seriously asking how drinking 6 days before a race will affect the race?
Or maybe he’s asking how it’ll impact the previous day’s race. If you run faster than the speed of light and then get drunk, that could be a legitimate concern, so don’t run or drive superluminal and drink.
However, it obviously isn't going to help your race on Friday.
So, I guess it all comes down to what you care about most: getting the very best out of your running performances or getting drunk (presumably with friends).
alcohol dehydrates you and increases recovery time. best to take it easy and listen to your body. sometimes not training is a better way to recover than to try to tough it out
Just raced yesterday(Saturday), and then got extremely drunk that same night. I will be racing again this Friday. How much will my race be impacted?
If you are mentally weak it will have an impact on you. Back in 2006 I got hammered drunk the night before a 29:05 10,000m, 2 days later got hammered drunk before a 1:48 800m. If I tried it today I would be screwed.
