At 31 years old and racing pretty poorly last year. Now the Aus champ walking over the line in a new Australian record. Surely this is raising some eyebrows in terms of what is he suddenly doing that has helped him break through, or is it all in the bicarb.

He got paced perfectly to that run. And he had more left in the tank. That move with 250 to go was amazing; he just had more in the tank than those other guys and he let it go. I'm wondering to see what he can do in a one-off 1500. 3:36 at worst judging off of this race

Why is it odd? His family moved when he was 8; he developed in the Australian system. And it doesn't really seem to be "verboten," people like you bring it up all the time.
