Phenomenal run . . . she beat the field of the fastest in the nation at Arcadia by 27 seconds. Sets new national high school record in 3200M and 2 mile to go with her National records in the 1 mile, 5000M on the track, 5000M cross country and Nike Cross Country Champion (NXN). At NXN she crushed the field by 41 seconds and beat Katelyn Touhy’s course record by 7 seconds running in the mud and rain. #GoCougars #BYU
Major props to her. She just goes out without fear and hammers it. Has done it time and again. Contrast her with the boys in the 3200. "Lead, no, you lead. Who cares, let's just kick.it in the last lap."
There are only 3 or 4 names on this list who would have been realistically old enough to qualify; everyone else on this list is still in HS or college.

The fact that she's got no competition makes it easier for her to just attempt a run away than if there were 4-5 other girls equal to her were in the race.
Seriously, it was a let down for me. After reading about her recent workouts I thought she was going to run under 9:30. Sounds crazy, but I think she is that fit right now.
Seriously??? She gapped a field of the very best high school distance runners in the world by 28 seconds. She broke the high school record by 8 seconds and basically ran all alone . . . no one pushing her. Stand by for Bryan Clay track meet next weekend . . . she will compete in the 5K against some of the top NCAA runners. That will be interesting . . . for sure. #GoJaneGo
