Or reference the fact that sub 3 hours is really good or that her PB is sub elite and is actually the second fastest UK female marathon time this year.
I absolutely don’t understand the point of publicizing being hungover as if that is a good or bragworthy thing. It’s just stupid. The fact that she’s going to get married in a month seems altogether irrelevant to put in the headline.
I used to use my local lake perimeter loop as my hangover cure in college. The first lap was truly awful but after enduring it then the toxic sweat began to pour out and after finishing I felt totally detoxed if tired.
But that was only 5k. Thon is another level. Congrats to her that should be an LR classic.
You all not read the article? She is lesbian. Married her partner Charlotte.
If she was marrying charlie I would have questions. What else was she up to at the party? After the party? The weeks leading up to the marriage? If it's the things I've seen and experienced in life she would be having her last funsies with chad.
Great article, but, yeah, totally skips over the fact that she ran a 2:36.52 marathon in February and that she had a PhD and is a university lecturer, not to mention that she has won her age group at Iron Man.
I would agree that the article has a bit of a glorification of drinking angle to it, but since she is a teacher and was celebrating her last night of freedom, I think it is all good.
The story actually reminds me a bit of Sammy Wanjiru, the 2008 Beijing Olympic champion who sadly died at 24, drunk, after his wife caught him with another woman and he fell jumping out his second story window. Hopefully Dr. Emily's new wife keeps her in check.
