All the major championships that happened this year, Jakob showed up and won. Plus some nice WRs to go with. GST is entertainment, but at the end doesn't really matter.
Kerr sort of admitted it last year when he said he wanted to get paid without worrying about "running fast" (and it showed today).
p.s. Jakob has an Indoor Worlds gold medal and two world indoor records (1500 and mile). That is hard to do if you are "hiding."
Jakob was hiding today. Neil Gourley ran world indoors with Jakob, and he raced the big dogs today in Kingston.
No disrespect to Gourley, but he is a journey man middle distance runner compared with Jakob, and the GST cash would make a difference to his annual income. Whereas it is chump change for Jakob.
One WC win and he’s been strutting around in his silly sunglasses, talking about himself in the third person and trying to cast himself as the main man.
He’s already faded. The Americans have got his number. Jakob will destroy him. He’ll never podium again.
This was actually not a bad performance for Kerr. OK DFL for the 1500 guys. However, from what we know his winter training was poor will illness and injury. Going into Millrose, he showed a video revealing he tanked his first workout due to a bad hip. His second workout he was better but was gassed as Henry Wynne gapped him as it went on. At Millrose, he DNS with a bug. So at most he’s had about 6 real weeks of training. So to have been in the mix not bad. However, the bigger issue may be he’s the lone top 1500 guy who didn’t have a great buildup/base. He might not get a whole lot better from here whereas Nuguse/Hocker/Jakob/Kessler/Laros all are primed to.

Lol, you're going to get downvoted so hard for having a reasonable take about Kerr. The Jakob fans on these boards make Swifties look measured and sophisticated
