Yep. People forget Ms. Thomas was banned in 2020 for missing 3 drug tests in a 12 month period. Yes, she got off on a technicality on the 3rd test but no reason was given for the other 2 missed tests. Must have made Harvard proud.
Naser just doesn't rig up much this year...two sub 49 open 400m already and it's just the 1st week of April. I would be seriously worried if I was Paulino heading into Outdoor World Championships.

Controversy aside, she ran a pretty conservative first 150m, so 48 is easily within her capability.
I understand frustrations with her whereabouts violations and similarly with Naser.
Gabby has had some really solid 4x400m efforts for the US, so the time doesn't seem crazy. Also, it seemed to me like she pushed to beat Paulino over the last 100m. ($100k seems like an excellent motivation.)
So with Whittaker going 49.24 indoors, Thomas, Sydney and Alexis Holmes (for example) .. does the US finally take down the USSR 4x400m record?
They were 0.10 off in Paris... and I'm not going out on a limb to say Whittaker's form in 2025 is better than Shamier Little in 2024.
That (how Gabby looked) is how you're supposed to look after running an all out 400!
It's not an either/or just to protect an American. How has Naser done with whereabouts? You can't convince me of a single reason to miss one drug test, let alone 3 & getting off on a technicality. You're not missing drug tests for no reason. Good, fast, time. I hope she's clean but I've lost faith in most top runners, especially those that are missing tests. On this topic, I wish all missed tests were public. I want to know what runners are missing two tests every 12 month period.

Whittaker will have to replicate her indoor performance outdoors.
How about Britton Wilson? Has she recovered our still injured?
I suspect the 4x4 team will be SML, Holmes, Gabby and one other. They certainly have the ability to break the record.
