Didn't watch yesterday so I don't know if it was the same format but WHY does the broadcast start almost 45 mins before the first event? I hate to start the negativity train so early but this is a super easy way to lose a casual viewer.

They need to find a medium where it's maybe 15 mins before instead of 5 seconds before like Diamond League where they barely have time to call out three people on the line just as the gun goes off. I mean, that's fine for a 5,000 where they can talk up people the first third. But for a 1500 I want a whole to-do like the way the Olympics does with the 100m.
Does downloading this app get it streamed for free?
The CW network app
I just downloaded The CW Network app. All it has is a 30second ad saying Grand Slam Track is “live on the CW”, but it does not show tonight’s episode in the upcoming programs in its sports section, so I don’t think that app will provide a free stream.
Most track meet broadcasts begin with a sprint event immediately upon coming on the air, before any sort of introduction. After the first race, then they have the commentators introduce the meet.
I wish they just called the distance events mid-d and distance. "Short distance" /long distance is like trying to call indoors track short track. I thought this was trying to lean in to being a pro sport without pandering to the lowest common form of understanding. Just call out the distance in METRIC, gasp.
