Isn’t the answer always the men’s 3200 championship race, followed closely by the women’s?
I think it’s actually defined in the meet’s rules than everyone has to care the most about those races, regardless of what connections you have to athletes in other events.

The more I've been involved in high-exposure invites like this the more I've come to realize how political the seeding into those top heats is. Guaranteed there are coaches on the Rich G hotline petitioning for their guy to get into the top race even though his time doesn't back it up. Last minute adjustments going on.

Right now, my best guess is that you'd need to have run an 8:50–8:51 based on last year’s times, or an 8:54 based on this year’s times for the top 3200 heat. The second heat will be filled with guys from 8:52-9:00. They will probably convert 5k track times and they will be generous with altitude conversions for Utah and Colorado kids

That’s supposed to be the great thing about this sport, times (distance, height, etc) don’t lie.

Eli Fitchen-Young in the Seeded race. May be favorite, probably deserves the Invite.

Tayvon Kitchen and Josiah Tostenson are in the boys 3200. So are Tommy Latham and Owen Powell. Manny Putz, Joe Barrett, Charlie Vause just to name a few others. Will be an insane race if someone decides to take it out.
Is that FIVE sub 4 milers in one field? Crazy.
