Running shoes companies seem to be overlooking the fact making people TALLER during races is actually making them LESS aerodynamic. Of course, the companies don't care about weight anymore either.

We are just at the point in running shoe history where the developers only care about their flawed theory of energy return, no matter how many other aspects of physics make the shoe and runner much slower.

True, but it's like telling kids that they may not smoke, curse, or have sex: people say "theyre gonna do it anyway"--but if you dont state the rules and clarify guidelines, they wont know for sure (!) where those lines are, or where you stand. Besides, I believe they, in spite of appearances *do* hear you and file it away in the deep locker and somehow rely on it for a sense of security.
