We all know the record is still rightfully his. I bet nico is just rolling his eyes at people saying kipboogi broke his record. Next thing you know kiplimo or kipchoge are going to enroll at OU or OSU and "break the record" again.
But instead of restored, Kip's mark should simply not be ratified.
Ratification is a separate process, but at this time it looks like the mark is going to stand because it was ran by an eligible college athlete on American soil during outdoor season.
There are many complex issues related to international collegiate recruits that we do not fully understand. Age, possible prior olympic representation, cultural differences, lack of regulated PED testing, and an advantage that I believe is far under-discussed: climate advantages.
For example, kiprui (sorry for mispelling) comes from a place that has long summers like we do here in San Antonio. Summers here in SA are warm, but the problem is that we are so far south, winter stretches clear into November. That is an obvious advantage (albeit not kipruis fault) compared to runners that must encounter seasonal change and gave no access to constant high altitude training.
Oddly it was you and not the430miler who brought it up. Also, if you look at his posting history you will see several threads and posts by him in support of Nico.

Never heard the430miler be unkind and for all we know he himself may be lgbt.
The threads about him and Leachman are senseless. Both of these runners live in the same city, which has something to do with why the stalker decided to target Barrett. San antonio is a very large city, chances are they have never even crossed path before and never will.
You wanna know what's really sad? Beth Leachman doesn't even use any type of social media, so she's not on here to defend herself against this stupid spam, stalking, whatever it is. I highly doubt she cares what any of you have to say about her. She's getting over the problems that running caused her and living her own life. Something all of you need a hard lesson on. Barrett, who is apparently autistic, is not defending himself in these threads and probably doesn't even understand the concept of bullying.
Why is a grown adult man causing drama over a girl who isn't even reading his crap?

Lmk when one of these guys so much as matches the number of titles that Nico Young has. Why is the record rightfully Nico’s? He’s no longer the fastest collegiate ever at 10k.
He’s moved up to the next level and it doesn’t really matter about the collegiate record. Taking 10+ seconds of his PR, and having more left in WC, is more interesting than looking back to college.

Why? Are you against international student athletes? That being said, I am for limiting the number of international athletes on a roster, but not against them running fast. I'm also against coaches (New Mexico), who simply load up their rosters with world class runners and claim to be coaching them.
"kipboogi"? Really? If he's an eligible collegiate athlete and ran in a certified outdoor 10,000m track race, what's the issue?
Recent discussions I have overheard about March Maddness have made me realize just how ridiculous this whole issue is. Many basketball fans are complaining about teams with couple 23 or 24 year old COVID super seniors, or teams with 1 or 2 regular aged foreigners. I just had to laugh to myself thinking about the current situation in our sport.
If basketball or football had D1 teams fielding entire rosters of near 30 year old men from doping hot spots, their fans would not put up with that nonsense for even 1 season. It would be on the front page of ESPN every day and states would very quickly pass laws to ban it. Our sport on the other hand, has so many losers actively cheering on the destruction of our U23 league so they can have better "entertainment" while sitting on their couch once a year to watch NCAAs. Absolutely pathetic cowards, which Kenyan does you does your wife's boyfriend enjoy watching the most?

The fact that you even have to ask this question shows the you are part of the problem. We know very little about Ishmael and what we do know about him is everything that the NCAA used to take a stand against.

Kipkirui has probably been tested at least 20 times in his life, if not more. To represent Kenya in multiple international competitions, he’s required to be tested far more than Nico or any American. Nico is now on the RTP but before his breakout races, he probably has been tested barely at all.
Loosely translated "An African is not supposed to come into our country and take one of our own's record. It rightfully belongs to people like us not them.
news flash, you are a low iq idiot and the record is for anyone to break. Everyone in USA is an immigrant except the native indians. Kipkurui has a right just like Nico young to break the record.
and he will break it further mind you this was his 10000m debut and he broke it when he get used to the 10k and lowers it further I bet you are gonna die of jealousy

The NCAA has never been a U23 league except in practice. Amateurism prevented it from being a league of pros. There will likely never be age limits because veterans would be deemed ineligible - and a tax payer funded education is one of the perks that allow the US to maintain an all volunteer military. There could be stipulations in a law or such, but only on letsrun is there some fervor about this issue. Lawmakers could care less about the increasing age of NCAA "all Americans".
I think recruiting practices are just a side effect of the real problem - professionalism. In the past, it would be absurd for someone like the top New Mexico runners to compete in the NCAA because they would be wasting years they could be earning money as pro athletes. In the NCAA today, they are compensated like pros though. New Mexico, OK State, etc. are essentially Nike, Adidas, etc. but with better contracts and laws requiring more advantageous situations.

Cry more clown
It seems like a lot of the people arguing about age are just using it as a proxy for race.
There really is a problem with American athletes getting left behind, not having a roster spot, because of the need to recruit pros to be competitive. I don't think anything can be done unless the NCAA were returned to an amateur sports league. When you require athletes be compensated like pros, you get pros.
