I’m attending a summer an academic summer program at Georgetown University as a high school student. I will be training while I’m there and I’m wondering where people recommend to run.

Rock Creek Park in NW
C&O Canal
Run in the morning on hot days. You don't want 103, ozone gray skies, and nasty humidity in July.
Ask George, it’s his town.

This Georgetown runner has a large social media presence. Perhaps reach out to her?
C&O Canal and Rock Creek Park seconded, they are steps away from GU.
I personally prefer C&O canal because it runs next to the river and has some great views. It also goes on forever.
Rock Creek Park gets a little hilly up toward the Maryland border and can be more congested
Please ask the camp before attending whether you'll be allowed to leave campus and run! I went to an engineering camp at NC State last summer that was pretty much like being in prison. We were only allowed to run on a field (200m around) during "free time." I snuck off campus a couple of days but all campers were warned repeatedly that if anyone was caught leaving campus for ANY reason they would be sent home!
Along with C&O and Rock Creek, there are also lots of paved trails going to the mall, to Arlington, and into Maryland. The Glover Archibold trails are a little rooty, but nice for a change of pace. Roosevelt Island is also fun. There are lots of great running options from Georgetown. It's probably easy to get sucked into running the towpath (C&O) 90% of the time, but I'd recommend exploring as much as you can.
Honestly the whole downtown DC area is runnable. There was a man who ran every street of DC.
Best places IMO
1) CCT up to Bethesda and then looping around through Rock Creek
2) Laps around Hains Point
3) Mount Vernon trail for a decent out and back
4) WOD. Don’t be afraid to take the metro and load it with some cash and do a point to point. It will be a long downhill run but the sights are gorgeous
5. Any DC social run or track workout. There’s tons of people running in the morning at some tracks a bit outside of Georgetown or in the evenings elsewhere.
Don’t be afraid to just take a credit card with you and do some exploring in DC. Georgetown isn’t far from a metro and you can get lost running all around the city and have fun with it.
DC is a great running city if you want to avoid roads.
I used to live right near Georgetown near the Glover Archibold trails and you can take them down to the Canal, use the White Haven Parkway to connect over to RockCreek Park or run on the mall (Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol).
Enjoy!
You can also cross over the Key bridge and run around Theodore Roosevelt Island.
Really the question should be "Where not to run in Georgetown". It's fantastic for running, I really miss it.
Watch out for the geese on the C&O Canal Trail. They used to hang out around Fletcher's Boathouse and will try to attack your feet as you run by.
