had she not got suspended and wasted several years of her prime. Shame on CAS.
That has also cleared up all the suspicion she got so good because of Burrito. If that's the case she should've just been demolished by Hull and not even got on the podium.

I’m looking at this thinking what a shame can still compete. Would have loved for her to get a lifetime ban.

Hmmmm - is she now more or less doped, considering a) nothing to lose and b) that USADA decreased her testing?

How can people ignore that Shelbo and the field got rocked by an Ethiopian with a 3:54.1 PB? I’m not dismissing Hailu, I think she got totally screwed and could’ve medaled last year. But Hull isn’t as good at 3,000, so this doesn’t mean Shelby is a 3:50 woman.
All the shame is on the curmudgeons here who are still holding a grudge against Shelby Houlihan. Get over it already! Shelby served her time, and she has shown tremendous resilience to come back successfully. I salute her.
Shame on CAS? Why not shame on Shelby? The suspension length was entirely HER fault.
every uses PEDs. It's a professional sport, get real. What the CAS did was jeopardize someone's career for being on a moral high ground even when her competitors are all on something.

If that’s the case, maybe the competition committee can hire doctors and sports medicine experts to prescribe PEDs as part of the race registration services.

Huh? Because she served a 4 year ban that means she isn't doping now and is "clean" and a better than a 3:50 runner?

While you're being /s, that's actually a good idea. It's a lot safer too with the monitoring of medicine experts provided by the IAAF. So even pro runners from poor countries can access to quality medical services.
Anyway, my stance has always been: just forget about drug testing. Let them take whatever they want without worrying about getting caught and let's enjoy the show. The best would still find a way to use PEDs anyway, including the ones who never get caught and the one who truly don't just aren't good enough to be a factor with or without drugs.
Bodybuilding, basketball and other popular sports have been doing this for years, running is still so backward in this regard.

Can't blame CAS for that. They had to follow the rules.
It's all Shelburrito's fault by using too much - gotta respect the microdosing rules.
