Good result for her. Always liked Natosha’s approach to the sport. She doesn’t fit into a standard cookie-cutter mold for most runners. I appreciate she has excelled at the sport for many years with this individual determination.
The more 31 minute or better 10,000m women running the marathon the more low 2:20's marathoners we'll have. Matter of time before Kelati runs her marathon and probably runs right around 2:20 right out the gate.
After winning the NCAA 10k national champs, she had a horrible injury and nearly quit running. But she came back and finished runner up at the US 10k champs. And while other runners of her caliber have made a career out of running as few races as possible to keep sponsors happy and to make national/olympic teams, Rogers races all the time. And after a tough debut at the marathon, she comes back and nails it in Japan.
