Now I see where was my mistake, we changed the daylight time, 3 weeks ahead of Europe. So 11:50, I mean without Filip pacing, 7:28.24, a new Norwegian record 😀

After 2 laps it's clear that Jakob will only run the 1500m at WCI
Not sure why people are downvoting this. If he doesn't race another 3000m today, there is no possible way he qualifies for the 3000m in Nanjing. I don't think European Champions get a wild card. Oh well, the sport and rules suck.
Sad about Almgren, still no senior medal despite how much he's improved in the last couple of seasons
Jakob and Mills are just on a different level
Have no idea how Habz trains, but worth noting that 1-2-4 all train based on the Norwegian method.
Yup, Almgren trains together with the Ingebrigtsen brothers, he used to be injured pretty much every season, then he started doing double threshold with input from the Ingebrigtsen brothers and now he's become the European record holder in the road 10k and second fastest European all time in the half marathon.

Right before this started, I thought to msyelf, "Any chance he front runs the world record here?" I was thinking he'd want the indoor 3k qualifier. Yes there'd be no rabbits but he's better than Fisher at 3k.
For the record, the 1500/3k double is quite doable. 1500 heats day , 3k final day 2, 1500 final day 3. If he wants to do it, are you opposed to him getting a 3k wild-card?

It’s reasonable to think Jakob simply does not want to race the 3k at the WIC. Obviously, if he’d wanted the standard he could have gotten it any time including today. Assuming he competes at all in China he’ll be doing more than any of the other “Big 4” in the 1500. Maybe best to focus on winning the 1500 after successfully doubling at Euros. Long outdoor season still ahead.
