First interesting track race I’ve watched in a while. Call it what you want but it was entertaining.

Pretty simple lessons to be learned by all....run faster. Any coaches on this board....just train your students to run faster and they too can avoid being an assault and possible battery victim. Of course, if no one is charged, then it never happened and crime is down.

There should be a more significant disciplinary action than just the DQ for something that egregious.

Call me crazy but I genuinely believe she should press charges here. At the end of that video interviewing the family, the athlete says she is dealing with concussion symptoms and a possible skull fracture? That seems INSANE for a baton hit, maybe the video doesn't do justice to just how hard she was hit. Regardless, I don't see the arguments against pressing charges here.
