Newsom Splits With Democrats on Transgender Athletes: ‘It’s Deeply Unfair’

Suddenly it's not so cool anymore so Dims are jumping ship. They have few convictions that they stick too. Probably turn on illegals soon enough.

Good, but he needs to know that his career has no future after the L.A. fires. That is good that he's speaking out on the issue though, and if that helps open up the conversation within the Democrats, then good.

He’s splitting with way too many elected officials in his party but is in line with a substantial majority of rank-and-file Democrats, so he has that going for him too.

Finally some common sense prevails.

This does not mean hi is running for President in 2028, just means he disagrees with 1 issue Democrats have Historically believed in, Biden has been in Politics since the 1960's or 1970's and the Transgender rights issue is something he believed as his parents and grandparents were big Advocates of Transgender Rights and they passed their beliefs to Recent President Joe Biden who pushed it more than any other President, But Democrats from Andrew Jackson to FDR To Harry Truman etc. were all strong believers In Transgender Rights and Having Tompons in all Boys/Mens Bathrooms, the difference is Joe Biden really pushed the Issue while Harry Truman I am sure believed in it, he did not push it as Biden did,

Finally he realized that most Americans feel this way. Just waiting for the party to realize we dont agree with them on this(lifelong democrat tbc).

He's a horrible leader, horrible person and no one should take him seriously after the fire response.

I’ve been a Democrat and never liked the idea of trans athletes competing against women. Lia Thomas swimming against women her senior year was entirely unfair. That said, I am a Democrat that is also uncomfortable with many of the positions of the far left. Just as I have Republican friends that are uncomfortable with positions held by the far right/MAGA.

Never underestimate the inclination of Democrats to double down on stupid.

Newsom won't be their nominee in 2028.

He is too white, too male, too straight, and now too non-woke.

He will probably have to run as a Republican.
