Fake news CNN shows Nuguse isn't competitive - doesn't have the killer mindset you need to be a world / Olympic champion

I always laugh here on the Jakob chatter. I don't know how you can't love Jakob. He keeps distance running in the news, he's candid and entertaining, he competes year round at key meets, and he delivers top performances over and over.

When he loses, he is still making the race, and creating rivalries. 2025 just another year of same.

Jakob is to running what Trump is to American politics. Loved by some, hated by some, ignored by nobody.

Just because he does not show it does not mean it is not there. He is as competitive as the other guys. Why else would he have beaten Jakob at the Olympics? Or why he was able to break the indoor mile record? He is clearly highly motivated and has plenty of grit when it starts hurting.

I wish I could see that first mile his PE teacher saw to see what raw talent looks like so I better see it in others.

No. Jakob does not lie. He does not verbally disrespect his competitors or call them names. When he says he plans to accomplish something he normally does. When he loses, he accepts the loss and blames himself instead of others and does not try anything to reverse the results. Jakob earned his current value by working hard to acquire it starting when he was young.

Nobody is generous to you, just a too big discrepancy.

All of the top milers, in combination, are good for the sport. With the assault on the world record we may see more mile races.

These guys, Yared, Jakob, Kessler, Kerr, Hocker, all have different personalities and it makes for excellent show as well as races.

Very generous. Even with all the modern technology advances, Jakob still can’t break Hicham’s records in the 1500 and mile. Hicham reached a level that Jakob never will.

When you watch him race, you don’t see the level of talent he has? Even with his first P.E. mile, his ability to make a fast pace look easy, would have been visible.
