I'm 33 and a 15:30 5k guy looking to break 230 , so I should probably quit, but you folk are my last resort.
for the past 2 months i 've had a right hamstring that has been slightly strained, have felt weakness and the right leg doesn't push off, it's basically along for the ride. my shoes are worn down weird because of this. i 've shrugged it off and run 85 mile weeks but after doing a speedwork out i realized I'm screwed for a fall marathon. So i need some info.
1. what is best way to strengthen hamstrings
2. what is best cross training activity? ( i've been biking on a cheap mt bike at about 17 mph or so for 2 hrs.)
3. what is best therapy? the sensation ( it is not pain ) is near top of knee.
