Do they even make good movies anymore?
Do they even make good movies anymore?
Beavis and Butthead Do The Universe
2000 mules
Top Gun 2
Parasite
Portrait of a Lady on Fire
Dune 2
Tar
Flow
Top Gun Maverick
Oppenheimer
Godzilla Minus One
Spiderman Across the Spiderverse
Zone of Interest
Sound of Metal
John Wick 4
-Dune 2
-Oppenheimer

Probably some more but I don't watch most of the new movies unless I know they are good(which is rare nowadays).

Although this poster may have an opinion of that movie, that is not an opinion shared by me or my affiliates. On the advice of counsel, I do not claim that any allegations (overt or implied) made in that film are true.
Parasite is a great movie. The Brazilian "I'm still here" (from this years' Oscar) is also great.

I watched it in the theater and it was an amazing experience.
My favorites of last 5 years (alphabetical order):
Call Me Chihiro
Daughters
Drive My Car
The Father
The First Slam Dunk
Godzilla Minus One
Hundreds of Beavers
Killers of the Flower Moon
The Last Duel
Navalny
Nine Days
Nobody
Nomadland
Oppenheimer
Petite Maman
Poor Things
Prey
RRR
Society of the Snow
West Side Story
Not necessarily the best, but one I remember well, and most are forgettable, is The Power of the Dog.
Not crazy about Parasite
Easily the Barbie movie, are you Ken enough?

Wow. It's been bad. I thought maybe i missed something but reading replies would have to agree with
Oppenheimer- which I couldn't even hear due to poor production
Top Gun 2- sadly, I agree. What if someone said to you 5 yrs ago Top gun would be the best you could hope for?
It's been....not good. Look at Oscar nominees from past 3 years....you will turn pale.
Ain't no Godfathers, Rockys, Jaws, shawshanks, or virtually any comedies at all coming through that door. It's horror movies,4th tier marvel movies, and super pc/ sad/ message-ie movies from here out.
In no particular order for me:
Everything, Everywhere, All At Once
Anora
Poor Things
All of us Strangers
Tár
Parasite
Past Lives
The Substance

Bruh! He didn't ask for all the movies you've seen in the last 5 years.
