Big Ten Championships - How many teams score 0 points?

Might as well just be the Pac 12 championships since USC, UW, and OR will win every running event.

Northwestern will not score any points in the men’s events.

Projected scores for men are

• MSU 6
• Michigan 7
• OSU 9
• IU 11

Womens scores

• Maryland 7
• IU 9
• Rutgers 10
• OSU 11
• MSU 12
• Purdue 13

A lot of these teams have 2-3 scorers on the back half of the podium. Pretty likely that at least one team scores 0.

This is precisely why coaches go get internationals. Can't get Americans who can score.

For the men, it looks like Maryland and Minnesota and Northwestern were the only teams that didn't score. Maryland and Minnesota don't have indoor track teams and Northwestern doesn't have a team period.

For the women, Northwestern - which doesn't have a track team either - didn't score.

So everyone who competed scored.

Maryland women, a fully funded program, got last with 5 points, but they have scored zero a few times in the last decade. Arguably the worst major conference team, possibly ever.

Ohio State should have a kick ass team. There isn’t any excuse for them not to. Largest school in the country with obscene amounts of money.

Obscene amounts of money but they have 36 Varsity sports. The cash doesn't go as far as you think. And only likley to get worse for Olympic sports with the $37 million deficit they are dealing with.

They also let a ton of talent leave Columbus..

They have as many scholarships as the other schools.

Sure they have 12.6 scholi's but do they have as much NIL $ as Oregon, UW, Nebraska, USC? Doubt it...it's all going to FB.

There is no reason Ohio State isn't a track powerhouse. That $37 million deficit is just an accounting sleight of hand. The admin clearly doesn't care about track, otherwise they would have hired better coaches- not some random applicants that would work cheap!!

Ohio State has more money than just about any other school.

Michigan only performed slightly better on both sides, and they at least have track culture. Not sure what's going on in Ann Arbor, but the apocalypse is upon us when we are trailing Lansing in recruiting.
