They showed every step of the SEC M 5000. Noe of AR thru 2000 sub 6:00 all by herself in the W 5000......

Some drama in the men's DMR. Texas 800 guy tried an inside pass and the LSU dude shoved him off the track.

No Juliette Whittaker/Stanford . . .

Hansen/WF, Martin/VA, Strand & Wolfe/NC, Sprout & Boyden & L&L/Stanford, all entered in 3000 on Monday.

Noe looked terrific. Essentially a solo effort, I have to believe she would've come home 5+ sec quicker in a pack with faster runners.

A note to anyone who hasn't been paying attention: Noe is a special one. Due to roll into 14:4X/30:4X country in 2026, imo, but that's not the point. Mind the racing, not the times.

I am wondering is Whitaker is on DMR only duty this week. Most of the Stanford stars are running limited events.

Per following athlete list, Whittaker not entered in meet:

Willis/800, Bunnage/mile, Kennedy/3000 could all race the DMR Saturday afternoon; DMR team runners are not specified.

along those lines, no signs of Kazimierska or Elmore at Big 10 meet. Maatoug and Foerster in 800/3000, W Nielson in mile/DMR, Aayildiz in 5000/3000

Dwight Stones said several times last night that only 10 teams make Nationals DMR? Did it change from 12?

answering my own question, the manual says 12 teams do make it....sorry Dwight

If you look at the TFRRS rankings before the start of conference weekends, this is how the relays top 12 look:

4x4 men: Texas A&M, Florida, Arkansas, USC, Arizona State, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Texas Tech, Baylor, Miss State, BYU, Penn State - 12th ranking time 3:05.24

4x4 women: Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia, UCLA, South Carolina, UCF, USC, Harvard, Florida State, Texas, Iowa, Kentucky - 12th ranking time 3:30.96

DMR men: Washington, Virginia, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Princeton, Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Texas A&M, BYU, Oregon - 12th ranking time 9:21.23

DMR women: BYU, Stanford, Northern Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Utah, North Carolina, Georgetown, Harvard, NC State, LSU, Providence- 12th ranking time 10:51.88

Already, LSU improved their DMR women time from 10:51.40 to 10:50.15 (but it didn't improve their ranking) with their SEC run last night. IDK how much the DMR rankings will change with it being conference weekend, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some shakeup with the 4x4s. We'll see.

Acc Meet is a great meet. Loaded 3K and other stuff. Saw the heats this AM.

"Track Nation TV" put a video of the SEC W 5000 on YT. I can't vouch for it, but it is there.

Noe looked fantastic. However, I was surprised to see at the end of the race an Ole Miss runner finished relatively close to Noe, followed by Ashley Jones of Tenn and a few others. They were shown in the results in the top 5 and Dwight went on about how they had also broken the meet record. It seemed pretty clear that they were lapped runners who stopped (or were told to stop) but I can't find any confirmation online of what happened other than that they are now showing as DNF.

In other SEC races, did anybody see the Alabama runner get hipchecked into the high jump mat during the pentathlon 800m?
