Ok so she doped. She missed 2 Olympic cycles in the prime of her career that she'll never get back.
Can't we just accept that she served her punishment, and move on? I don't see the need to keep booing her, or pretend she doesn't even exist like Citius mag.

You’re asking a bunch of stuck up losers who are insecure they weren’t as popular as the soccer/volleyball/football kids in high school, and weren’t as fast as they had hoped to be, to not become obsessed with someone who’s a rockstar.
Chris Chavez is probably trying to protect Shelby from receiving hate and threats from these chronic online creeps.
I would let it go, if certain trolls would stop pouring oil into the fire with their stupid but-it-was-in-the-burrito nonsense. Sadly that includes the owners of this forum. In that sense, citius makes for a nice change.

The athletes she cheated out of titles, US teams, sponsorships, and money will also never get those back. Her results will always be tainted, just like the other dopers.
Can't we just accept that she's a cheater and move on? I don't see the need to keep supporting her like many on this website do.
I’d feel less bad if she admitted her fault and didn’t skirt around the rules during her ban like when she ran with BTC by starting 5 minutes after them

Wow, I didn't realize that the Winklevoss brothers posted on the LRC forums.
Back on topic, how about Ben Johnson, Marion Jones, and Lance Armstrong? At one point in time, people idolized them, too. Is it all water-under-the-bridge now?

If this is your argument why was she suspended? Was WADA insecure and stuck up?

Precisely.
People seem to forget that competing in track & field at the highest level is not an inherent right, it is a privilege! If you knowingly and blatantly abuse that privilege, it should be taken away permanently.
I have always suspected that she is innocent, so no need to move on for me. There are thousands of athletes in the pool. At least a few of them are going to have their food/drink spiked by a hater. If she is guilty, she needs to quit running and become a Hollywood actress. Oscar material.
Yes. She has served her punishment and she is allowed to compete again. However, I believe that commentators and fans are within their rights to mention that she doped every time she races. It is fair to refer to her as the convicted doper, Shelby Houlihan. Forgive, never forget.
