Athing Mu is happy, healthy, and training hard with Sydney. Getting engaged recently seems to have significantly lifted her spirits.

I would not be surprised to see Athing break her American record in the 800 this summer.

Seriously? Do you even watch track and field?

It is February. Mu has only run TWO indoor races since turning pro in 2021, both of which were in 2022. Her last race indoors was in January 2022 at the Millrose Games Wanamaker Mile where she dropped out with about a lap to go.

We will probably never see her on an indoor track again.

I am also aware of the fact that rojo is a grown man in his 50ies who pretends to be a sports journalist. That's why I have slightly higher expectations than for a 17 year old basement dweller.

She is the greatest American runner ever. Man or woman, middle distance or long distance. A whole lot of people would like to see her come back.
