I wanted to bring this up in this forum because this is where 'true runners' can discuss running related topics. In all seriousness, and i can go either way just want to have a honest conversation, why do people really care that Shelby doped? My question does not apply to running coaches at that level (competing coaches) or her peers competing, instead to the other 99% of people why do we care? She isn't impacting our daily lives, training, 9-5 jobs, kids, etc..? Why do we even care, we are just consumers of entertainment that she and other's provide. I am starting to feel like its more of a band-wagon effect where it just sounds good because its not the right thing to do. I get that its not but I just can't come to a conclusion why its worth caring about to the point of snubbing her name? Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGuire all doped and MLB ratings were at a all time high. Lance Armstrong doped cycling was at a all time high. One could argue even after they were found guilty it catapulted the sport to the mainstream viewership, so it had a positive impact on the sport. Its all entertainment, and I'm not saying we should be okay there are cheaters, but outrage?
