It was no coincidence that they did this right after Sam Ruthe ran his 7:56. The expectations have raised considerably. You'll see more mid to low 7:50s from Americans now that they know it's possible.

I think that after 18 year old Cam Myers ran 7:33 maybe every high school senior had a rethink.

Tayvon and Cam are about the same age.

It helps to train with pros like the Aussie and Kiwi. The Americans are just running with a very good hs coach.

When Jim Ryun ran 3:55, did every HS senior have a rethink? 7:33 is way too fast for any American HSer to compare himself to. That it comes to 4:03 mile pace is mind boggling.

The down under results can lead to only one conclusion and that is we need to start checking birth certificates and blood samples if some of these guys can be believed.
