I doubt if Hocker will ever beat Ingebrigtsen in a race that includes a pacer(s).

I think what people don’t understand is that Jakob ran 7:17 and 7:54 outdoors. Hocker slipped by on the rail while Jakob and Kerr battled it out. Jakob isn’t getting outkicked by Grant Fisher. If Jakob went to BU he could run 12:30 in the 5K, 7:20 in the 3K, and 3:43 in the mile.

To justify your mile and 5000m times you need to replace 7:20 with something very close 7:17.55.

Ha-ha that is a quote of a post written by me in another thread while just changing Jakob with Nuguse.
But I think that Hocker WOULD have beaten Jakob if he had been able to run in the Lievin mile in his Millrose shape (and without jetlag).
As I have calculated in another thread his 3000m at 7:23.14 indicates a mile in just under 3:44. So Hocker seems to be at a new level already at this early time in the season. And significantly faster than Jakob at this moment.
Only uncertainty: Is the Millrose track faster than Lievin´s?
Two valid points why you're dead wrong with simple scoring tables.
Jakob's outdoor 3000m record: 1320
Jakobs indoor mile record: 1330
Cole's indoor 3000m record: 1310.
Last time I checked, 1320 is better than 1310, and 1330 even better yet.
IAAF´s indoor points are completely off. The points are far too high compared to outdoor times AND the mile and 2 miles points are too high compared to the for the 1500m and 3000m respectively.
It is better to use the outdoor points for all race times, both outdoors and indoors.
