USATF Half-Marathon Championships

If no one really cares about it, what makes you believe anyone would want to discuss it here with you? Frankly, one of the most desperate cries for attention I've seen here in a while.

I care this year a lot more than most years. 1) It's a straight qualifier for the World Road Running Champs which usually isn't the case.

2) The Worlds are in the US this fall so we've got Klecker and Keilati going out for team amongst others. I'm going to start another thread on that.

I will be there, running the Marathon though. I don't run halfs. ATC got lame a couple years ago, changed the course so now we run with the Halfers until mile 12-ish. Prefer splitting at 7-8. Average race on a difficult course. Food after is terrible. Chocolate milk good. Expo terrible. Used to do long sleeve for the Marathon, short sleeve for the half. Now one shirt. Cheap cheap. They sure do charge enough. Flying Pig Marathon, my favorite Marathon, kicks Atlanta's ass from expo to finish line.

Just watched it. Diego. Damn. He took it to them and just crushed.
Kim Conley saying she felt good the entire time. Probably had more in her. But damn.
I'm excited to watch future American distance running events. I feel like the US is starting to make some gains on the rest of the world.

I think you just watched a race from 2015. It certainly wasn’t this year—Kim Conley hasn’t raced since 2022!

It won’t matter as World Road Championships will be cancelled. Will be announced shortly as they don’t have the $$.
