Dumb Money is a 2023 American biographical comedy-drama film, directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo. It is based on the 2021 book The Antisocial Network by Ben Mezrich and chronicle...
the problem is you never really know the true value of a company. maybe it's artificially inflated by people closely connected to the business to further their own interests. but with letsrun, I have faith in the incompetence of the owners. If you accused rojo of short selling, he would reply that he has never sold any shorts, trousers, or anything of the like. i'd invest.

You could get him to admit to selling shirts though. Clearly there is a lot of value here.
This is not a lucrative enterprise. If not for inherited wealth the owners would need a real job. Rojo has to spend a lot of time desperately posting to stir up traffic, and in the world of big time websites this place gets minuscule traffic. The T shirt business is on the order of a lemonade stand.

Lemonade would go great with the color scheme around here.
And one more thing. I really like the website. It makes me feel still connected to T&F. I enjoy links to articles. I enjoy some of the banter in threads. So i am glad it exists. I just don't think it is very lucrative.

Depends on how much it would cost for them to listen to what I have to say. I've got a few ideas that I know could bring a lot more eyes to the brand. Even then, I'm not sure (and kinda doubt) it'd be enough to beat the market, so it'd be more for the sake of growing the sport and my own enjoyment than actually trying to make a good investment.
Really it's just a dumb question to ask if you'd seriously invest in a company that you have 0 insight to the financials of
Wow, it seems like you spend all day on these boards, like all day except for sleeping and eating. This is a serious question. How many hours do you spend here each day? It's gotta be at least 6.
Letsrun has roughly 1 million unique visitors per month according to the article "What's LetsRun.com?"
Truth Social has roughly about 2-4 million and currently has a market cap of 6.85 billion (via Statista and Yahoo finance). So should Letsrun be worth $2 billion ;)
No, because to prop up quarterly profits for shareholders after a predictable short-term decline in traffic, (say, in the quarter after the Olympics), LetsRun would have to cut costs. So, Gault would get laid off. A cheaper and less able alternative would then be hired, but he too would be laid off, in cost cutting the next year. I like Jon's reporting to invest in this enterprise.

Well, no. But it is my favorite website, so I am here too much. Fair enough.
I like the constructive criticism though, so I am taking a week off. See y'all after New Balance Indoor!
