All I ask is that you experiment with a ban on political posts for like 60-90 days.
See if the board reorients itself toward actual training and racing discussion.
It's just an ask... that's all.
Editor's Note: There is a "running only" filter for the message boards. If you click it and see non-running related threads, report them for miscategorization. As of writing this, when using the filter, only 2 out of 57 threads on the first page were miscategorized.

Yes, things must be banned because some are not adult enough to simply ignore or scroll past what they are not interested in. Because you have no self control, others must conform to your needs.
The food at this restaurant is bad, the service terrible, the prices outrageous, and the worst part is that I have to wait two weeks to get a reservation.
It’s not even the shear number of political threads. It’s that all the threads that don’t start as political devolve into calling people Nazis and Libtards within like 6 posts. There are plenty of political websites with message boards out there. If you want to discuss politics, why not just go to one of them?
IF that can't happen, then can we just move them all to a "political" category and remove them from the main page?
You do understand that you have to click on them to read them... don't you?
That's true. But if you see that a thread is turning into something you don't like, why not just close it and not open it again?
Can you tell us how it would be possible to ban a political thread if something political was NOT is the title?
For example, how is a titled thread about Jakob, supposed to be moved into "political" if some random poster puts a political comment in that thread?
I'd love to hear your solution to that! Maybe any "political" word in a post moves it automatically out of a "running" thread? But then posters will just change a letter or two in the "political word" and the algorithm won't catch it. I see this all the time on other sites that allow comments. If the word "trans" kicks the post out, then the poster makes it something like T*R*ANS.
I think a good idea would be to have the various "thread types" (e.g. political, training, race results, gear) as stickies at the top of the board, and then below the major types, have the board as is. That way it is easy to click into your desired topic of interest, and also avoid the topics you don't care about.
