that was super fast. Anyone know how her last 200m stacks up to Hocker’s last 200m or his gold medal run? Wouldn’t be surprised if it was just as fast.
The kick that Tuohy has had nightmares of since 2022.
Gear outkicked Tuohy at Penn Relays in the 4xMile.
Bad news for Ostrander in the steeplechase with Gear and Coburn both having amazing races in the past 7 days.
I have a feeling Gear won't be running the Steeplechase anymore. I don't think she liked it, she wants to be an 800/1500 runner. i also think thats the reason she left NAZ Elite, they wanted her to run longer distances. now she trains full time with Nikki Hiltz.
Not hard to look spectacular when everyone else is mid. Angel Piccirillo has never run sub 2 yet went out in 29, 28.79. (57.79) It's absolutely no surprise she could not hold that. Let's wait and see if Gear has her issues sorted and her sh!t together this year before we get too excited.

judging from above race so far its going well.
That field is way too crowded. She needs to move up in distance. She is not a pure middle distance anyway.

She was pacing, though yes a smudge fast. Ewoi is not mid and ran 1:58.1/4:19 mile last year. Just couldn’t handle a 58 yet. It’s a 2-flat which is not an astounding 800m timd but it’s a good one for Gear.
Arkansas has Isabella Whittaker running half miles? could this mean we might see a Whittaker/Whittaker head to head at some point during this season? I feel like Juliette would probably win that easily so maybe they could do a 400/600/800 challenge and whoever loses two or more races has to wash the dishes the next time they are both back home for a holiday.

Good for Krissy. Hopefully this is a good sign of what’s to come.
This will trigger the haters as is evidenced by the chucklehead above.
Is it really a kick if you are just running even splits and everyone else is positive splitting by 4 seconds?
Opinions may vary but to me a “kick” is just closing faster than the pack. Wottle had a “kick” in ‘72 despite just running smart even splits while everyone else extended themselves too much early on. Not the fault of the disputed “kicker” that everyone else ran dumber than he/she did.
