With continued climate change, Greenland will undoubtedly become even more of a tourist destination (see, e.g., Iceland). American business will have many opportunities to capitalize on that once Greenland is American territory.

The guy sees what Xi doing in the South China sea and gets jealous. The problem is what China has done has taken decades of building manmade islands that actually have a strategic purpose. In a moments notice, China could shut down sea traffic impacting half the worlds economy. And they have military locations that would let them take control of Taiwan in a matter of days. And there is NOTHING the world could do about it either economically or militarily. We're pretty much all reliant on their goodwill at this point. They spent decades building this capability.

Why do we need access to the Arctic? It's only resources are rare earth metals and oil and gas, The extraction is cost prohibitive in most areas. We already have an air force base there, since the 1950's. It's not really a strategic location, too far from everything.
