That's the question. Have any of you on here actually ventured into what we call the grey area, where what you are taking, injecting, supplementing, while not illegal is not allowed under certain governing body rules.
I want to try bpc-157 for my shoulder issues of 10 years. Still on the fence because of some possible side effects I've read about.
I read a lot about this and tb500 used to help heal injuries. Certainly interesting, but you always wonder what's BS, what's the placebo affect, and what actually works.

Cardarine is interesting to me but I would never actually try it. The risks far outweigh the benefits. EPO also scares me. It seems like most doping agents have a significant downside.
Hobby joggers using peptides, woo, and Cardarine is like the 50yo overweight guy at the rec center that shows up in full nba uniform, complete with arm sleeves. Don’t be silly.

I took roughly 100mg of cardarine over 2 weeks, under 10mg per day. Its effects are interesting. I didn't feel much better on fast stuff (think 300s at 800), and the recovery time was similar. But I never felt tired on easy runs (or long runs) and my lower-intensity workouts like threshold reps or even 10k pace felt incredibly easy. I felt like I'd recover instantly after each rep so each rep felt like the first (well, let's say the second as that one tends to feel the easiest - fully warmed up). Typically if I'm running something like 7x mile at threshold I'll feel a bit tired after 3 miles in and definitely tired / working hard at 5 in, but I never felt that fatigue at all. It's not a wonder-drug but allows you to work much harder.
As to the risks, I realized that taking truly low doses over a 14 day period will almost certainly be fine. I read a ton of athletes at the Beijing olympics took it and they're fine. So my thinking is that taking truly small doses over a very short time will be more akin to smoking for a bit - chainsmoking for 10+ years is different than having an occasional cigarette or 2.

What downsides does EPO have? Assuming microdosing

I'd love to find something that heals my bum knee.

Depends on what the issue is. If you have cartilage loss there is really nothing you can take that will help. You would need to explore MACI, or other similar procedures.
Anything you take (ingest, apply, or inject) may help with the symptoms but it will not "heal" your knee.
There isn’t really a “grey area.” There are just middle aged hobby joggers who are doping.
I know it's splitting hairs, but I think there's a difference between "doping" strictly for performance gains vs "doping" to heal an injury or chronic pain.
I know some people are very black n white about it, but I am not.
When I have a cold I’ll take Sudafed (banned some places and not others) before a Turkey Trot. I’m old and slow and don’t win anything except for the occasional race raffle.

How many running injuries are out there where taking a banned substance will actually help speed up recovery?
Everybody knows that many athletes cheat by using performance-enhancing drugs like steroids, testosterone, and EPO. But what is it like to take these banned substances? Do they really help you win? To find out, we sent an ama...

I'm mechanically doping lol. I have a screw going through my kneecap and a wire wrapped around it.
