Valby because she’s American

Valby because she is an objectively attractive blonde woman
Valby by a mile ;)
Ingelbredtson is unattractive and rude and kinda creepy
Absolutely nobody outside the US knows who Valby is.

Or cares
Alicia scmidt makes parker valby look like a little girl.
It doesn't matter who is more marketable. They both (as should many others) be marketed much more than they are.
I remember (and this is going to kill some of the loser boys on letsrun) how the girls high school cross-country I coached, including my daughter) LOVED Ritz back in 2005-2008.
They thought he was great looking and the knew about him because I used to give them these semi-annual high school editions that Runners World put out for free.
I applied for them through their website. They sent me 50-60 a couple times a year.
Market them all. That's all it takes.
Jakob, not so much in US, but around the world he's viewed as the top mid distance track runner.
He always shows up.
He is always in contention.
He always controls the race (even in a loss).
His brothers, Dad, new wife, youth training make for a good story. (Even the ugly parts)
He makes both thoughtful and entertaining quotes for the media.
He is also reasonsbly handsome.
Valby outside US has not done enough yet to be a pro track star.
She's pretty, but not pretty enough without her sport to become a model or social media personality.
She can be very strong now, however, in US market for build up to '28 and for the 16-25 age group.
Both are incredibly marketable, but Valby's image could probably move more product. Jakob could probably bring more people out to a meet though.
1/2 of the Bowerman finalists were foreigners. You don't think one person outside the US knows who won? That would be odd.
Track and field is a global sport that barely registers a blip in the United States once every four years. So the answer is Ingebrigtsen. He's the best in the world. Hopefully Val you will get to that level
Jakob by a mile - always says something spicy, is vastly, VASTLY more successful, has bitter rivalries, races more etc. etc.
Define marketable.
Valby all the way. She’s the All-American blonde bombshell with a magnetic personality, a strong relationship with her parents, respect for her competitors, and a list of NCAA accomplishments that are as good as anyone’s.
Jakob has ugly tattoos, a bad haircut, toxic personality, arrogant remarks about himself and his competitors, and bad relations with his father. He has tremendous accomplishments, but the only way to market him is as a villain.
Track & field, or “athletics” as it is known in most of the world, is not that popular outside of Europe. Since Jakob is European, he’s probably more marketable. That said, neither of them are are a marketer’s dream. And, as previously mentioned, Valby really is not known outside of the US. I venture in the US she’s not well known. If you were to ask 100 random people you would be lucky if 1 knew who she is.
I can't wait till Valby gets her first tat. She'd look amazing with an arm sleeve. Wonder if LR will still love their great white hope
We love Shelby.

That’s the point of marketing. To make someone more well known.

Of course she won’t. She’ll never set WRs or win WC and Olympic medals.
