Ostrander moved to the trails TOO EARLY in her career. But now it may be too late to switch back to the track.
She turns 28 on Christmas Eve and her 1500m PR is still 4:14.....from 2019. She will have a very hard time in this era being competitive on the track in any event without leg speed.
I wish her the best but she should probably stick to the trails or marathon now. I want to see her succeed but the track is not her friend right now.
No, they wanted her to focus primarily on trail running, which is what their brand does. Both benefitted from their collab, it got Allie through a tough time and she certainly brought a lot of eyes to NNormal. Great way to end a partnership with a win/win.

100% accurate.
It's a really uphill battle for Ostrander in the steeplechase because USA had 4 women 9:07 or faster last year, and that does not include Frerichs or Coburn, who will return this year. Mitchell and Markezich are both super-talented as well, 7 seconds faster than Ostrander and much younger.
Monson, Valby, Schweizer, and Kelati are going to dominate the 10k for a long time (and the 5k as well). Throw Cranny and Purrier into that mix too. Tuohy and Henes will contend for teams as well.

I always thought she would be a good marathoner.
So, you think Allie is washed and Coburn is fresh as a daisy? I 100% guarantee that Allie O will run a faster steeple than Coburn in 2025.
Don't think it's the end of Allie being sponsored by a shoe company. That said, I think she should train for a marathon. Her twin cities ten miler off non-specific training was pretty impressive. Some brands like track, roads and trails.

I wonder if she was re-approached by Brooks for another opportunity since she had a really good showing overall in 2024.
