2:07 mighttt be a stretch but this guy makes good triathlon runners such as Morgan Pearson (61-low half marathoner guy) look like they are moving backwards in races, the talent is clearly there and a 2+ hour race isn’t too much longer of an effort than his main event of a ~1 hour and 45 minute Olympic distance tri.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes out as the top Brit that day.

Yes, but 2 hours of running is a completely different level of beating the body up than 2 hours of triathlon.
I've watched Yee in tris and he is indeed a very impressive runner. I'd expect that with appropriate training he can run a very good marathon, but 2:07 seems like a real stretch.

Morgan is a better runner than Alex. The difference is that Alex has way better coaching around him. USA Triathlon is amateur hour.

That seems disrespectful to Emil cairess
Yeah, I'm expecting Cairess to be down to 2:05 shape by that point, possibly 2:04. And I know Phil Sesemann is aiming for 2:06. Good luck to Yee, but I'm expecting 2:11-2:14 from him, though you never know.
Why is a guy with a target of 2 07 to 2 10 going to London? The logistics do not make sense to me. Does London have pacers for this sort of time? Educate me

He's a British olympic champion.London will give him whatever pacer he wants.

Yep, expect >2:10...there are reasons other than talent, 10km speed etc

What makes you think Cairess can run as fast as 2:04? He only beat Mantz by 40 seconds in Paris and his track PRs are a little slower than Mantz’s.

Well, the cardio training he does is through the roof. How is he so fast? He can swim and bike with the best as well! Being able to swim bike run at this level is amazing. Even pure runners can't hang with Alex.

1. His progression. He went from 2:08.07 to 2:06.46 in the space of a year. He also ran 60:01 for the HM.
2. Canova. He has a long term plan for Cairess, one which he can't always take with African runners because they need success immediately for financial reasons. Listening to Canova and Cairess, they had planned for him to be in 2:04/05 shape by next year.
3. Cairess was 4th at the Olympics. In its own way, it was a stunning run. He beat some of the best in the world.
4. I also think Mantz is ready to run at least 2:06, probably 2:05 if he gets in a quick race next year.

Maybe. He'll bring some attention to the race so he has some value. Maybe enough to pay a very good club runner a few thousand to take him to halfway. But I doubt he'll get a top tier pacer

Ya you're right. He should be like American runners and target Chicago to run 2:10-2:12
