Probably stays with Gibby and Harvard teammates until he finishes degree in the spring

They must have come up with A LOT of money…. Harvard educated and probably had a mega-offer from Nike to join Mike Smith’s new group, etc.
Was very apparent after his NCAA victory two weeks ago. Well deserved and I hope he continues the success at the pro level! He’s going to have so much time on his hands after he gets his Harvard degree.

Parker and company?
And it makes sense that he stays in Boston, stays with Gibby, and finishes this school year. All of that is easily possible with New Balance (based in Boston).
Moving to altitude and AZ would have been a much bigger adjustment.
Makes way too much sense not to do it - stays in Boston for as long as he likes, gets to be coached by Gibby or can get coached by Mark Coogan. Gets to flirt with Parker Valby everyday - his GF probably doesn't like that....
Good for him. I wonder if he continues to train at Harvard. Giddy seems like a real jerk. I think Blanks would be able to stay healthy and be way happier, training with Coogan. The group is right where he is in Boston. Seems like a no brainer.
I feel like if he continues being coached by that Neil Degrasse Tyson wannabe, he's sure to pick up more injuries. Guy runs those wiz kids into the ground, it's a miracle Ramsden didn't get hurt.
Blanks can do what he wants and maybe he actually likes Dr. Tyson II, but just my two cents. I call it like I see it.

Damn that was a great good bye wave at the end of the race then, no more Harvard uniform. LA2028 coming up, future road runner potentially, and live sports streaming is continuing to grow must mean it was a great contract. New Balance must be overpaying compared to Nike since they've been able to sign all of the new sports talent now. Opens things up more for Wolfe and Abdalla at NCAA's.
Is he a now more likely to be a participant in GST 2025?
What's he get outta this compared to staying in the ncaa and having an NIL deal? More money?

Exactly. There's tons of hot chicks in that group and they all probably have cute friends too. Even if none of them go for Blanks they can at least help him overcome that Ivy League social awkwardness.

Does GST require participants to be strictly pros (and not NIL semi-pros)?

It will be more money and it wouldn't make sense for him to stay a collegiate. Top ten Olympic 5k, 2x xc champ, now sub 13. Done all he can do really. If he stays, he risks injury under Gibby's insane program and losing indoors and outdoors which would make him appear less marketable. Has to strike while the iron is hot. Easily made the right decision.
Bad move, he’s not good enough
NB adding both Valby and Blanks
