I don’t think he is trolling. Jakob does not have Kenyan genes and didn’t run 10km to school as a child to prepare to be a 10k runner. Jakob is in an elite position where he gains extra access to technology and latest research due to living in a part of the world which benefits at the expense of the global majority.
Mo Farah could barely run sub 27 and he won consecutive olympic titles. You don't need to be the fastest guy on the track, just the smartest/most strategic and also capable of running a 54 second last lap.

10/24 Olympic 5000m champions also have an Olympic 10,000m gold meal to their name.

I just wish the search tool on this website was easier to use. Because you wouldnt believe the number of posts I saw before 2020 on Jakob never being able to win a 1500m or 5000 WC, or Olympic.

Beat Andreas Almgren who came in fifth as well who's run 59:23 and 26:52 this season. Anyone who thinks Jakob won't be able to win a global title in the 10 000 is on drugs.
Kiplimo beat Thierry by 27s in Belgrade. It would be great to see at World XC. It’s not obvious where he’d finish. In a likely tactical 10K final on the track, more obvious.
