The GOAT Eli Fitchen-Young, Keegan Smith, Kaden Evans
CBA
Jane Hedengren, Adddy Ritzenhein, Sadie Engelhardt
Trabuco Hills
I’m “rooting” for Landon Pretre and Eli Fitchen-young individually, and Menlo as a team on the boys side. I’m not sure about the girls side bc there aren’t any NorCal runners outside of Hanne Thomsen but I hope they all run well.
Here’s my prediction: the California teams and individuals will flop and none of them will finish in the top 3. Mark my word, I can’t care if I get attacked.
I predict that Marissa Ferebee, Ritz, and Victoria Garces will not come to play.
Yeah, I could see Eli doing very well due to his recent Crystal Springs and Woodward Park performances. The only reason I’m not so ambitious with my prediction for him (at least to not finish top 3) is because his 3200m times this year are more closer to his 3200m times from last year (and slower) compared to a lot of his competitors.
im going with jane hendegren and owen powell
live webcast starts in 10 minutes

Where can I watch the race?

It looks nice and ugly at Glendoveer. Not a good day to time trial.
Driving cold rain, introducing the teams one by one so they will be drenched and hypothermic before the race starts and the course will be a mess. Should be a great race and perhaps the favorites from warm weather don’t hold up . Watching from Prague!
Is the Live Feed working for anyone? I'm not getting anything.

Live feed is fine
This here is some proper running weather...and not that CA sun and balmy temps.

They really do not need these long intros. All season the teams have a warmup they are used to, and in the biggest race it is changed
I wonder if we'll see any boys approach sub-15 today. With these conditions and lacking a true favorite, could see it bunched for a long time.
Maybe 7-15 could win, and at least 20 have some argument for top-10.
I'll go with Mechura over Powell, Kitchen, Evans, Gonzalez, Smith, Steorts, Barrett, Crane, Turk, Pretre, Fitchen-Young, Putz.
Rationale - ran to qualify at regional meets, flashed early season strength at Griak and has cruised since, might like this weather? But who really knows.
Herriman narrow win over CBA, then Niwot, American Fork, Carroll Downers Grove, CDA.
Girls side, I'll take Hedegren over Ritz, Engelhardt, Wisnewski, Rodriguez, Blade, Garces
I'll go with Mountain Vista for the team win. Ritz ran well last year in the nasty and it sure is pouring down.
Going to be a bad day for the teams from the warmer regions.
Hendegren and Bethlehem for the girls.
