I first picked up running at 18 years old, and I didn't know how to train properly back then. I pushed myself too hard to the point of hurting my right foot and kept pushing through my injury. After dealing with the pain for years, I finally went to see a doctor who formally diagnosed me with arthritis in the talonavicular joint in the right foot through MRI. Today at 22 years old, my right foot still is far weaker than my left one. I can still feel sharp pain just from walking. I have a hard time accepting I am disabled from my past mistakes.
