Because of the proposed House lawsuit settlement, the Ohio State AD issued a letter saying the school will cut roster spots by 150 across all sports. They will be adding 96 more scholarships than they have now but overall have 150 less athletes.
Just thinking this through men's track might see some major cuts.
My presumption is revenue sports will see an increase in scholarships, so will some women's sports for Title IX resasons, but can someone explain to me why roster spots needs to be cut if these athletes cost very little or actually may be a revenue source for the school (walk-ons?) But if for whatever reason they need to cut spots it's likely going to be in the non revenue male sports.
