Most of my Saturday and Sunday mornings were all "running under the influence" runs.
Grey Cup Sunday 1981, November of my last year of high school. Ran ten miles in the morning to get my long run in. Went to a Grey Cup party at a friend’s house, whose dad worked for the provincial brewers’ association. Got drunk, went home, ran six miles in the dark to try to sober up. I felt like my head was slightly dissociated from my body the whole time. Very weird experience.
we're going streaking!
Look at me
Yeah. Buddy told me the best way to carb load during an ultra is to drink beer. To be honest, it made the perception of the experience suck less.
I rode my bike drunk a couple time. Worst experience ever. I spilled and banged myself up way too much. 0/10 would not recommend
Gonna be a big Nope from me. If I'm buzzed I want to sit back in the sun and just chill. If I'm running, I want the acuity to appreciate and respond to the world around me (and without a couple of pints sloshing around in me). Mixing the two sounds like the worst of both worlds.

How does that prove she was drunk? I admit I ran 5 miles after drinking tons of beer after work. Then we had spagetti after the run, I threw up and I have never repeated those actions!
No need to run drunk. Take a 10mg gummy instead - infinitely more enjoyable experience
She finished the marathon in around 5 hours, 36 minutes
I don’t think she has run drunk either.

She definitely needs help in her life.
Yes, but it was a beer mile in college that I "pre-gamed," with some shots thinking it would help me chug easier. Ended up being one of the worst drinking nights of my life. Would not advise.
For quite a while in Austin, Texas my daily runs were beer-2mile-beer-2mile-beer-2mile-beer. 6 miles, 4 beers at pubs. 5 days per week. I asked a cardiologist friend if I had a choice between either continuing this routine or quitting both running and drinking, which would be healthier. He said the beer+running was better, but the bigger concern was getting hit by a car.
At my peak drinking I’d buy a six pack after work, hide a beer at the turn around point and drive home. Slam a full one while getting dressed. It was an hour run so 3 beers in under an hour and a half. Wasn’t drunk by any means but certainly drunk. I’ve done a vodka in the pocket before, but it’s not very fun. There’s something more rewarding about finding a beer in the woods.
I remember leaving college track parties with my teammates, deciding it just made more sense to run home rather than waste our time walking, and all collectively thinking that we were FLYING. This was right at the cusp of GPS watches becoming common, but we all pretty much wore a standard timex or nothing if we were just hanging out.
Years later, in significantly better shape than my college days and with a garmin on wrist, I left drinks with a friend a couple miles from my house and decided once again that running was the more efficient way to return home. Felt like I was FLYING as we did in college. Started up my watch... wasn't even close to cracking 8:00 pace (I was in high 14s shape at the time).
So drunk running? Not something I'm most suited for apparently hahah. Props to those who can!
In college, I lived about 3 miles off campus. Often, I'd pregame and then run downtown. Or go out all night and then run back home around 2 in the morning. I didn't think much of it but in hindsight I can only imagine what was going through the mind of people driving by me at 2 am.
One time this did backfire. I was at a bar where someone bought me a very strong drink (after a fair bit of prior drinking). I got a text from my friends about a party about a mile south. I left the bar put my head down and started running. I ended up running a mile and a half in the wrong direction (despite knowing the town quite well). Turned back around, ran 2 and a half miles back but then took a wrong turn. Made it about a mile down this road when I realized that I was actually leaving city limits. Ended up slipping into a ditch while trying to call my friends and had to come get picked up.
Yes many times some of them from the cops--not that I had done anything wrong, but the pigs were on another power trip.
I was pretty fit at the time and me and my friend ran half a mile to a casino before it closed. He was drunk but I was absolutely hammered. He did not run at all and yet had to slow down for me. On the way there, I fell over and smashed my my knuckles. As a result, we did not get let into that casino anyway because the bouncers all thought I'd punched someone. The next day, when I took off my shirt, my torso was all bashed up from the fall. I remembered nothing about this at all and had to be told. In summary I would not recommend running drunk
