In my experience it is. Before, Twitter seemed to be a place where your speech was only as free as others deemed it popular or unpopular.
I believe Twitter is much more free under musk. I don't agree with musk supporting trump, but I do think he's made twitter better.

If I am not mistaken it’s not as popular as it once was. It isn’t in the top 10 of social media platforms and may not even be in the top 15.

Twitter was such a perfect name, because you could “verb” it: “I tweeted something”. In comparison, X is just a shtty replacement name.
The login wall has definitely stopped me from casually browsing the feed of a few people i'm interested in.
No interest in signing up for an account.
Just swapped one flavour of censorship for another.

I dropped out of "x" when, after testing it, I realized my account was being controlled and restricted regularly.
X hurt mines feelings. So, no.
