I thought I saw a thread a couple years ago, didn't CJ Albertson run the Fresno Turkey Trot in 13:52? Probably the fastest I've seen, would be fun if more pros like him said screw it and threw down some fast times at Turkey Trots

IIRC there was a turkey trot with Rupp and Webb won like 13:35ish or so...
The fastest I've seen personally is run to feed the hungry in Sacramento. I think the time is close to low 14s. I know there was a silicon valley turkey trot for a while that got some fast pro and semi pros folks to do it. Maybe something in boulder with all the pros there? Although the altitude and weather may hurt them.
Silicon Valley Turkey Trot used to be fastest 5K Turkey Trot in nation. Checked results for recent years and seems it's gone virtual but used to have regular pros and times in mid to high 13s I think. Here in SoCal, Dana Point Turkey Trot has fast 10k around harbor, regularly won under 30 with prize money for pros home for holidays.

There was one run in about 13:45 in Davis. It was a close finish, and Jim Sapienza finished 3rd, but I don’t remember the two guys that beat him.
I’d nominate the manchester road race as fastest. It is 4.737 miles.
In 2022 Conor Mantz won in 21:04
Morgan Beadlesomb came in in 21:05
Wesley Kiptoo in 21:06
Andrew Colley in 21:07
The top 10 that year all ran 4:30 minite miles or faster.
As others have stated the Silicon Valley Turkey Trot used to have a lot of pros run but winning times have slowed since covid. They used to have pretty high prize money but not sure that is still the case. It is a large event with thousands of participants.
Interestingly the 10K Turkey Trot I ran in Montauck last year was won in 29:29 and second place was 30:30ish. The field was less than 100 so sometimes it just depends on who shows up.

Yea I have a picture of it. Webb is leading Rupp by a step around a corner.
Manchester Road Race in Manchester CT has had the fastest runners of any Thankgiving Day Race. Mantz ran under 4:27 pace for 4.737 miles and the course goes up for nearly a mile from 1 to 2. Don’t know if anyone has run a 4:40 for that second mile. Past winners include Tracey, Coghlan, Slaney, Jennings, Kastor, S Flanagan, John Kelley “Younger, Burfoot, Hanneck, Gregorek and many others. Hands down fastest runners and fastest running on Thanksgiving in the US.

It might be interesting to check back in on this topic on 11/28 to see what the top gobblers did this year. I'll be at the in-laws, and will be looking to kill time with unimportant things.

Manchester road race is one of the best.
Yes, the Silicon Valley Turkey trot had a separate pro race for years; it was a different course from the race the rest of us run and was really set up well for watching (was four laps); some years it was before the regular race and other years it was after. They got rid of it when the race director retired. The fastest results i could find were 13:28 (Stephen Sambu 2012) 13:32 (Morgan Pearson 2016) and 13:33 (David Torrence 2013 and others)
