Not sure why everyone is hating on you - you are a regional qualifier for steeple easily and can score in that event at most conference meets. Likely to develop into a 3:43 - 8:47 (1500/3k steeple) if all goes well, while being a solid XC guy. You can land big scholarships at low D1’s (AE, MAAC, etc.) and get some money at the mid D1’s. Just find the right program and it will work out - you won’t be chased in the portal but not too many coaches turning you down.

Good post. He said 3:48 at 4500’ elevation so he’s likely already at 3:43 at sea level and 8:47 if the steeple was at altitude too. Could eventually go sub-3:40/8:40 if that’s the case.
I don't think we mean to hate on him so mauch as the odd thing of people posting on here about "what am I worth" and "who would recruit me" and "based on these workouts, what can I run" and other things that are impossible to answer.

It’s also very easy to figure out who this guy is based on the info given. If I was his coach I would be pulling him into the office first thing Monday
No. P4 programs are in the process of cutting. None are taking a 3:48 transfer guy to cut a 3:49 guy. Transfers have to be much better than current ones because there is always the unknown regarding transfers. Add to the cuts that teams are still recruiting 4:07 guys who ran that in the spring as a 17 year old. That again is way more attractive than a transfer who isn't scoring.
I would just chose the school you actually want to be at. Even if you got a few thousand dollars of scholarship money to be at a school you really don’t want to be at, is short sided.
