What are the dimensions of a racingchair? Will she be able to stay inside her lane? If she's coming down the finish of the 400 with people on either side I hope everyone is able to maintain spacing of some sort.
I wondering if the judge has happened to look at the results from Boston, out of curiousity, and seen how little an aid racingchairs are?
Dyestat forum, under HS elite forum there is a thread there. 1/2 way down page 1 there is a post from a teammate with screen name bshwckr592.
There are also numerous MD high school web-sites with forums.
Tucker Carlson is going to be covering this story in a couple minutes on MSNBC.
I'd just put a stick in her spokes and watch her go flying.
Even for the longer races couldn't they just keep in her lane 4 or 5 for the whole race? Okay, it might throw her splits out a bit but they could quite easily mark it out with some tape or a cone.
Totally disagree with scoring points for her team, it does seem like the high school district is taking things to the extreme to prove a point.
HAHAHA!
i think it's pretty dumb of the school district to let her compete. First off, she is in a goddamn weelchair in a FOOT RACE. Second, think of the safety hazard! what if someone fell in front of her? feet getting run over? getting caught in wheels? third...well i dont have a third because i think thats enough to keep her from racing in a high school TRACK MEET. she should get into wheelchair racing or something with other disabled people.
