Yes, I bet if you took El G's DNA and Jakob's DNA, the difference would be miniscule compared to either of them with an East African. El G wasn't born or raised at altitude either.
Yet TryoneRexxx believes that this white guy (El G) could run 3:26.0 clean 30 years ago, yet a white prodigy today training as an elite athlete since the age of 6, with super shoes, mondo 2.0 tracks, and wavelights, has to be doping to get within a second of him.
El G is a good man, who as a boy showed a great talent and did his best from thereon to manifest his talent to the maximum possible to lift up the people of his country
Truly I say unto thee, if you hate the player rather than the game, the gates heaven will be far too narrow for you to enter

everyone knows El G was the biggest cheat in distance running.

I don't harbor much resentment towards El G personally. He seems like an obviously nice guy, and he's very respectful towards the greats of the past, especially Sir Roger Bannister. You could perhaps chide him for demanding that his world records not be 'reset' as the IAAF was planning to do to all WRs set before 2005.
What I object to really is the posters here who hold him up as superior to runners from other eras on the basis of his crazy times, who whether or not they were/are doping, certainly did not have the doping opportunities of his era.
Whether or not it was 6 or 12, the point stands. Not that I'm trying to diminish the incredible talent of Jakob at all, just pointing out the stupidity of believing that the best runner today of the same race as El G, has to be doped to run within one second of him.
A reminder.
WR 1972 - Jim Ryun 3:33.1
WR 1998 - El G 3:26.0
WR 2024 - El G 3:26.0
The WR in 2050 will likely be something close to 3:20.0. Once Jakob or whoever breaks El G's record, the progression will continue it's normal course, with it being improved by a second or so every few years. It will then be absolutely obvious what was up with El G's WR. The same will be true of the women's 800m WR.
... but that's a fun question. Assuming he was clean, and would have doped to the gills: 3:22. Add super lights + track + shoes -> under 3:20 for sure. Ridiculous.
Now let's do the same for Jakob + Paula + Ruth + Faith etc. LOLOLOL
