Panning, who went for it big-time at the Olympic Marathon Trials before fading to 6th, said his training for Sunday's Chicago Marathon was just as good as his pre-Trials build. He's hoping to run under 2:08 and thinks fellow American CJ Albertson will be running with him.
"[The buildup] really went off without a hitch. Not a lot went wrong, so hopefully we can knock it out of the park this time."
