He's a knucklehead who didn't have control of a talented team because they didn't respect him. Bellichick would lead them to a division title. Their new coach could do the same.

He was forced to take a washed up old man and start him as Qb.

Not his fault.

You can’t fire players so it’s very common to fire the coach, regardless of whether the poor team play is his fault.

Both true. Saleh didnt seem to have control and motivate. But he is good D coach with AR forced on him. Owner wants to win asap with good talent on D. I have no doubt Rodgers had something to do with firing.
Calling that Jets team talented is generous. There's some talent but overall they are still below average talent-wise.
Despite that, any coach can scheme an under-talented team into contention, but Saleh didn't come close.
It feels like the NFL media, and probably Jets fans too, learned nothing from the Russell Wilson / Broncos disaster. Entering 2022 you had people legitimately saying that Wilson made that indifferent Denver roster into a legit Super Bowl contender, and that all fizzled out after two years where the team never even made the playoffs, in part from Wilson's poor play and in part because the roster just wasn't as good as people wanted to say it was. Entering 2023 people were saying that adding Rodgers to a Jets roster that is and was, admittedly, probably more talented than any recent Bronco team, meant they were instant contenders too. And sure, Rodgers only made it like four or five plays into 2023 so his contribution was nil, but we've seen him play this season and like with Wilson before, it's clear he's no longer the potential Super Bowl champion caliber dude those two once were.
They also lost vs Denver because Salah didn't try to aggressively advance the ball from a 50 yard FG spot. Same thing happened to the Bengals and they missed winning kick vs Ravens. Should try to get at least inside 40 uard FG before getting too conservative.

They didn’t respect him because the quarterback didn’t respect him. If Rodgers showed respect to the coach, the other players would have followed his lead.
Jets last possession against Denver was a joke. Rogers and receivers were not running the same play. Somebody needed to fired, not sure who. Looked like high school scrimmage. I am sure that was the most humiliating sequence of Rodger's career.
So now Saleh is fired, is Rodgers going to be any better? Seems like Jets are grasping for straws right now. Another rebuilding year.... Not sure why Rodgers would want to keep doing this.
