Anyone else find Courtney Dauwalter to be extremely suspicious? She just "won" the women's Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB (100-miler) and almost chicked the only man to finish in front of her, Spain's Cristofer Clemente Mora. The next women to finish was an enormous 5 hours behind Dauwalter.
She did this while wearing long baggy boardshorts that go all the way down to her knees. The kind of shorts that would not look out of place in a basketball game. Compare this to Cristofer Clemente Mora's regular Hoka running shorts in the photo below at the finish.
I have a hard time believing Dauwalter actually ran the whole 100 miles in those shorts. The amount of chaffing and rubbing would leave you raw and bleeding profusely over 100 miles through mountainous trails, not to mention all the energy lost to the long baggy shorts waving around. These boardshorts are the type I would wear if I took a taxi ride part way through the race so that I would blend in with normal people.
Can anyone actually prove that Courtney Dauwalter actually ran the whole 100 miles?
